As an ISO14001 accredited company, PBR's products are designed with the environment in mind.

The following environmental objectives underpin PBR's product development;

• Incorporating light weight materials to improve fuel efficiency
• Minimising the number of working components to improve product life
• Establishing production processes that eliminate waste

The introduction of PBR brake-by-wire systems will see further improvements in fuel economy, reduced parts and the ultimate elimination of brake fluid.

PBR's constant search for innovative solutions has realised significant successes for the environment. The introduction of specialist production equipment has reduced grinding dust, gas usage, effluent, energy and the release of many tonnes of CO2.

PBR has taken a leadership role in the development of environmental initiatives within the automotive supplier community by assisting suppliers to achieve ISO14001 accreditation.

PBR is a signatory to many of the key industry and government environmental initiatives including; the Greenhouse Challenge Co-operative and Greenfleet.
